SHELLY AND ANDREW

THE CHASE HOUSE

Shelly came to see us with her parents one rainy afternoon. Shelly really did not have a “vision” for her bouquet. After looking at hundreds of pictures, she kept coming back to Casablanca lilies designed into a cascading bouquet. After she made her decision for her flowers she was off and running with ideas for the rest of her wedding.

Shelly’s Maid of Honor and bridesmaids bouquets were designed to coordinate with, yet also create a contrast with the butter yellow gowns. Shelly liked pale pastel colors and we decided on pink lisianthus, light blue delphinium, yellow alstromeria and babies breath, which was her Mom’s favorite.

The one moment before the wedding that stopped Lynn’s heart was when she watched as the limo driver help Shelly out of the car. While holding her bouquet, he then proceeded to close the door on the tip of the cascade. There was a moment of silence, then Lynn calmly took the bouquet and we repaired it for Shelly.

The little church in Moultonborough was decorated with lush floral wreaths on the doors to welcome the guests. Shelly’s aisle was adorned with roses and babies breath just like her Moms wedding. The altar was flanked by two dramatic arrangements of wedding flowers.

The aisle carpet was laid and the ceremony began. Of course the little flower girls with their baskets stole the show. After the wedding, the arrangements, wreaths and pew markers were moved to Chase House and decorated the mantle, bar window, and head table. The wreaths were hung on the doors where Shelly and Andrew would be announced. The guest tables were aglow with candles surrounded by wreaths of wedding flowers. The bride and groom enjoyed their first dance and a wonderful evening was enjoyed by all.
