LORI AND PETER
CHURCH LANDING
When Lori and her mom came to visit us they had a “vision” for Lori’s wedding. Lori had wanted to be married in her aunt’s garden but logistics made the idea too difficult to organize. Leslie and Lynn told Lori that she could have her “flower garden” wedding and we would use her special arbor for her ceremony.
A garden path was designed to line Lori’s aisle. We used Lori’s favorite flowers which included blue hydrangea, cream profita roses, lilies, daisies, bachelor buttons, delphinium, and alstromeria. The ceremony was framed by a large garden arbor decorated with wedding flowers and enhanced with tulle.
Lori carried a handtied colonial bouquet of blue hydrangea, cream roses and babies breath. Her attendants wore blue dresses with polka dots. The material for the dresses was brought back from a trip to China and the dresses were made by a trusted family seamstress. To mimic the dresses, the girls carried bouquets of blue hydrangea with babies breath “polka dots”.
After the ceremony the “garden path” was moved inside to decorate the mantle in the ballroom and the ledges in the atrium.
The centerpieces echoed the colors of the wedding party. Large champagne vases held candles and blossoms of hydrangea. Each vase was accented with polka dotted ribbons. Not a single detail was overlooked and Lori said her wedding was everything she had envisioned as young girl.
