JUDITH AND CHRISTIAN
THE CHASE HOUSE
Judith and Christian had decided they wanted the ambience of an island wedding at The Chase House in Meredith. They imagined their guests relaxed and comfortable in our sometimes steamy New Hampshire summer. Gentlemen guests were invited to wear Hawiian type loose shirts instead of jackets or suits and ladies were encouraged to wear comfortable summer dresses instead of elegant gowns.
The men in the wedding party wore matching shirts and eschewed wearing boutonnieres. The girls in the wedding party each carried a monochromatic bouquet of gerbera daisies and Brianna, the Maid of Honor carried a bouquet that employed every color.
“Here comes the bride” as played by the steel drum band struck just the right note for the day. Judith glowed as she and her Dad came down the aisle. The ceremony site was a garden arbor graced with a garland of wedding flowers. On each side of the arbor were two dramatic arrangements of coordinating wedding flowers.

After the bride and groom had their first kiss as man and wife they proceeded back down the aisle and the Hawiian “party” began. While cocktails were being served, the arrangements from the wedding were moved to the mantle and bar window in the ball room. The garland from the arbor draped the head table. The cake was decorated with gerberas to match the wedding party and all the maid’s bouquets helped to decorate the table.
